Video Interface Technical Training

Video Interface Technical Training

Over the past three years of working with Interface Technical Training they have given us a lot of smaller web sites to work on. This site however is their new flagship product. We developed this site from the ground up for Interface. With the sale of a lot of their video library to Lynda.com, ITT has changed their focus from subscription based “video library” to an a-la carte, and on demand training model.

We developed this site for ITT from the ground up. It continues to be based on WordPress and aMember but has a lot of customization built in. We have written a custom content management tool for the staff of ITT which pulls in content from their SalesForce.com database and makes the creation of new courses very easy. Courses are complex and include modules within the course and videos within each module. We built an autoplay functionality that can play through all the videos within a course. Additionally we added the ability to track which videos have been watched for programs that might require certification or continuing education credits.

King Galleries

King Galleries

King Galleries is a Native American Pottery art gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona.  They were a referral from our friends at Interface Technical Training. They had an old web site designed in Microsoft FrontPage. They wanted a new web site that could take e-commerce transactions and also be easy enough to use as Microsoft Front Page was.

We implemeneted a WordPress based web site with a WooCommerce back end. Their new site now allows them to process and track orders right through their site. They can notify their users when the order ships and what the tracking number is. Users can add products to wishlists. They can offer uses coupon codes to do cross promotion through their Facebook page. They can even setup a payment plan (like layaway.)

In their first 7 days they made sales totalling 400% of what the new web site cost to implement!

Between Sessions

Between Sessions

Between Sessions provides 100’s of resources to help therapists and coaches including: therapeutic homework, assessment tools, data collection worksheets, e-books, and so much more.

We worked with Between Sessions to create this site from scratch. The goal was to setup a WordPress powered aMember web site to provide online training resources. We helped the client locate a professional WordPress theme for their site. We implemented the aMember back end with Authorize.net to process credit card transactions for subscribers. We created a custom upload tool to allow them to add their worksheets, e-books, documents, and tools for each target area. The client wanted to automate as much of the process as possible so that they could eventually launch several similarly web sites.  We also needed to secure the downloads so that the client’s intellectual property is properly protected.

Interface Technical Training

Interface Technical Training

Interface Technical Training provides technical training to IT professionals. They have a classroom setting where they train on software like Microsoft Exchange Server and Windows PowerShell. For this project they were setting up a new web based training center. They were looking for aMember experts to assist with an installation that had originally been setup under a different developer using aMember3 and recently upgraded to aMember4 using WordPress for a CMS.

Our first task with ITT was to setup a new Development environment so we could properly develop their site and test changes without affecting their production environment. We also helped move their site(s) from a shared web host to a dedicated server.

We made major modifications to aMember to enhance the signup flow process. We consulted on the best way to setup security and for SEO so that their site and demo videos will show up in the search engines.  Finally we wrote custom reports to allow ITT to export data on users and import it into their CRM solution.

We worked with ITT staff for over 2 years helping them update the site and change the way subscriptions and pricing were handled.

We are very proud to announce that in August 2014 much of the Interface Technical Training Video Library was purchased by Lynda.com! This was our first ever site we worked on for ITT.

Mind Tools

Mind Tools

Mind Tools, LTD hired us in the summer of 2012 to consult with them on their aMember 2 web site. They have a very sophisticated web site and their entire business revolves around their membership based web site.  They had some new things they wanted to pursue with their web site but their existing version of aMember was woefully out of date. They needed to hire aMember consultants who could assist them with their upgrades and adding significant custom code to aMember.

One of the biggest challenges for Mind Tools was that their aMember web site was the majority of their business. They had resisted upgrading the site in the past because they had extensive customizations. They also couldn’t risk interrupting their daily business operations.  They sought out BC Marketers as aMember experts that could guide them step by step through the upgrade process and ensure no outages with their production web site.

Taco Tender

Taco Tender

LCT Products came to us to help them redesign their product based web site for Taco Tender taco shell holders.  They had hired someone to do the original design and logo creation and to make the site e-commerce enabled. Unfortunately problems came up and they had to part ways with the original contractor.

They came to us to help redesign the Taco Tender logo and web site with a more professional look and feel. They also wanted us to setup a shopping cart so they can take orders online. Finally they wanted to be able to have wholesale customers who register for wholesale pricing. This pricing level needed to be hidden from retail customers but allow wholesale customers to not only get discounted pricing but also quantity discounts as well.

We began by setting up a new web site (since we wanted them to continue to be able to use the old web site while we worked.)  We selected WordPress for the platform because we wanted something that would be easy for our client to maintain. We also knew that the Woocommerce shopping cart for WordPress would be a simple and elegant solution to enable Taco Tender to take orders online.  Finally we created some custom forms to be able to handle wholesale customers and setup WordPress roles to allow only approved wholesale customers to view wholesale items and pricing.

Paper Street Enterprises

Paper Street Enterprises

Paper Street Enterprises is a SAP consulting company. They had a basic web site with an outdated design. They were looking to give their business a more professional image and relaunch their web site with a more robust platform.

Our project for Paper Street was pretty straightforward. Redesign their web site. Include a lead capture system to capture leads and deliver secure downloads like whitepapers and PDF downloads.

We began the project by setting up a new site so that we didn’t affect the existing site while we were working. We created the new platform in WordPress so that the owners would be able to maintain their own site after we were finished with the project. We developed a professional theme for the site, converted the old content, and then created new content for the site. We also setup a membership software to enable them to deliver secured downloads only to people who have opted in. This will enable Paper Street to develop leads for their SAP consulting services.

The Survival Podcast

The Survival Podcast

The Survival Podcast has a listener base of 40,000 daily listeners.

Jack Spirko the host of the Survival Podcast came to us and asked us for help setting up a membership site.  He had originally used a low end membership software package and was running into problems as his site grew. He needed assistance in setting up a more robust and long term solution.

We converted TSP to aMember the membership platform we use for many of our client web sites. aMember was a more robust software package that didn’t have any limitations on the number of users. We could also integrate aMember with the TSP Simple Machines discussion forums so users could have one single login for all areas of the site. We were also able to secure all of Jack’s premium member downloads to prevent unauthorized downloading.
